DADAnewyork

Go BEYOND CIVILIZED with us and celebrate DADAnewyork’s 15th year of performance in the U.S. and abroad at Theater for the New City. On Saturdays and Sundays, jazz contrabassist Kevin Ellington Mingus, who has collaborated with creative luminaries such as Amiri Baraka and Vijay Iyer joins our magical mishegas tour-de-force.

BEYOND CIVILIZED features writers Ring Lardner, Jean Cocteau, the late performance artist/poet Irving Wexler, David Dozer (co-host with Janet Coleman of “Cat Radio Cafe” on WBAI-FM), surrealistically, George “Dubya” Bush, and the program’s cemterpiece, Liquid Krell, by zKrell, one of DADAnewyork’s most prolific contributors. Visit the art exhibit of sculptural props built by Charles Mingus III in the theater lobby.

DADAnewyork is Mort Kroos, Joanie Fritz Zosike, Lois Kagan Mingus, Robert Hieger, Be LaRoe and Rosi Hertlein.
