DADAnewyork, founded in 1986 by the late John W. Wilson (an original Joffrey Ballet member and DADA scholar), is internationally acclaimed as “a brilliant mixture of Jacques Tati, R. Crumb, Charles Bukowski and the Marx Brothers.” The company is currently co-directed by Mort Kroos and Joanie Fritz Zosike. In addition to Kroos and Zosike,Lois Kagan Mingus, Robert Hieger, and Be LaRoe round out the company.
DADAnewyork's newest vein of work, Cabaret Re-Voltaire, honors the original Cabaret Voltaire, the birthplace of DADA in Zürich in 1916.
