Mort Kroos

DADAnewyork co-director since 1992 and member of John W. Wilson’s original group, Mort has appeared in almost all the company’s many engagements and on two European tours. His adaptation of Tzara’s The Gas Heart was performed at Los Kabayitos and PS 122. Equally adept at conventional theatre from Shakespeare to musical comedy, Mort will be seen later this year in The Last Request, a new film starring Danny Aiello. In the last year he was seen on local stages as the skeptical Mr. Botard in Ionesco's Rhinoceros at The Classical Theatre of Harlem, as the lecherous Captain Leopold in John Jahnke’s Mercurius at HERE, and in three very short plays directed by Rue McClanahan for the One Page Play Festival at Chez LaRoe, as well as performing with DADAnewyork at Dixon Place.
